GANDHI
This book is about life story of Gandhi. His regular name is Mohandes Karamchand Gandhi. He was born in 1869 in Porbandar, in the west of India. He married when he was very young and had first child in 1886. He went to London at the age of eighteen for studying law, but he didn't agree with England. Then he decided to go back India and he was a lawyer. His first important job was in South Afria. He stayed there for next twenty years. He read many books and met his favorite words, which was written by John Ruskin. He followed this idea and started his first ashram near Durban. Then he knew we must change some things, so started a newspaper for Indians. Then things got worse. He was taken to prison by the South African police because of a new law. However, he followed his new idea, nonviolent protest. Then he and his new idea became famous. His picture was often in Indian newspaper. He became one of the three most important Indian leaders. He fights for India with nonviolent protest for a long time. He didn't win every fight, but he always followed his truth. Many people now follow Gandhi's idea. He was died on January 30, 1948.
I had known Gandhi, but I hadn't know very well. I think he is great person. His idea, nonviolent protest, is great and I want to spread more and more because I dislike war!!
